WW1 Rotherham Air Pump
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Rotherham Air Pump was a small, propeller-driven fuel pump mounted externally on aircraft struts or fuselages. It provided constant fuel pressure to the engine by pressurizing the main fuel tank, reducing reliance on manual hand pumps. Compact, reliable, and easy to install, it became a standard feature on many British aircraft during the First World War.
Our scale replica comes in full color and is easily assembled!
Want the propeller to spin in the wind? Simply turn down a small dowl and glue it into the existing hole in the pump body leaving your propeller free spinning on the dowel. Leaving a larger diameter is recommended to prevent the propeller from spinning off.
Replica Mounts are included, however we recomend backing them with hardwood for additional strength.
