Nexa/VQ SBD-5 Dauntless 2060mm (81") Upgraded Direct Fit Dummy Radial Engine

This R-1820 is a high detailed upgrade for the factory dummy radial engine found in the Nexa SBD-5 Dauntless 2060mm (81") 

Simply Remove the Old Radial (If installed) and Epoxy in your new high detail engine right to the cowling!  For this installation, because of the smaller opening iwe had to make this engine undersized. Shims will need to be added around the dummy engine in order to secure the engine to the cowling.

Note: Engine will come in full silver. this engine features paint work and red wiring that will not be included in the kit. We recommend standard red automotive wiring for a more scale look.

Tips and Tricks for Installation

It is best to mount the dummy engine after the actual engine is mounted in your airplane. You will need to make up shim blocks to fit around the dummy engine to take up any spacing between the engine and the cowling. This will vary based on the type and brand of powerplant flying your aircraft. We recommend using medium CA to tack your engine into place and checking the fitment of your cowling before using epoxy.
